5 Days Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Safari in Uganda
This is probably one of the most common safari packages in Uganda. This 5 day safaris shall take you to Bwindi Impenetrable national park and Queen Elizabeth national park. Bwindi Impenetrable national park is considered one of the oldest rainforest in Africa. Its origin dates back as far as 25000 years. The forest is biologically diverse which enables it to support a wide range of wildlife and flora. Bwindi’s favorable ecosystem enables it to host one of the most rare and endangered species in the entire world, the Mountain gorillas. Be ready to meet the gorillas and other wildlife during this tour.
Day 1: Kampala/Entebbe – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
It is possible to start your tour in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda or Entebbe International airport, Uganda’s international airport. Early in the morning, you shall meet and greet your tour guide who shall drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. The park is situated in the western part of the country near the Congo and Rwanda border. By road, it takes about 9 hours to drive from Kampala to Bwindi. This 9 hours’ drive shall be magical as you shall make a stopover at the Equator to take photos. The drum makers shops along the way is also another popular stopover and here, you shall learn something about drum making before you continue to the mountainous landscapes and rainforests. On arrival in Bwindi, you shall check in to your lodge. Relax your body as you enjoy scenic views of the Environment. Depending on the lodge, you might be surprised by gorilla group visit; some gorillas do cross over to nearby lodges. If you happen to view that, it shall be memorable however such an experience comes once in a while.

Day2: Gorilla trekking in Uganda
Welcome to gorilla trekking. This is the most anticipated day during your safari. You shall wake up early in the morning knowing that by the end of the day, you shall have several screenshot of gorillas. Early in the morning, you shall be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing about your expectations and the dos and don’ts. Later you shall start moving into Bwindi impenetrable national park in search of the gorillas. The gorillas stay in nests and they always leave marks where they pass which can be interpreted by Park rangers to ascertain their whereabouts. After sometime, between 1-8 hours of trekking, you shall be in position to spot the gorillas. You will spend the next 1 hour viewing the gorillas and during this time, you shall take photos. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park along the Ishasha sector. The Ishasha sector is known for tree climbing lions. If you are lucky enough, you shall be in position to view such lions. This part of the Queen Elizabeth national park is considered as the remotest and it attracts a lot of wildlife. After a short game drive along the Ishasha sector, you shall be transferred to your lodge.

Day 4: Game drive and boat cruise
Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall drive to the northern part of the park and start your morning game drive along the Kasenyi trail. The trail is famous for popular wildlife like Elephants, cheetahs, Uganda kobs, leopards, lions, and many wildlife experiences. In the morning, it is popular to see big cats chasing their prey. In the afternoon, you shall do a boat cruise along the kazinga channel which shall enable you to view various aquatic animals and water birds. Later, you shall be transferred to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe International Airport.
This is the last day of your tour and you shall transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe international airport after breakfast the lodge however if you feel like your tour has just started, you can extend it to an number of days to include other parks like Lake Mburo national park and Murchison falls national park.
