9-Day Nile Perch Fishing Tour in Uganda
The Nile perch is one of the most common fish species in Uganda and a tour while spotting various fish catchment area around the country shall give you an understanding into the economic and leisure aspect of catching the Nile perch. You shall visit Araa fishing village in Adjumani, Paraa and chobe sectors in Murchison falls National Park, and Bulago Island on Lake Victoria. While enjoying fishing, you shall have the opportunity of viewing different species of wildlife and birds.
Day 1: Transfer to Pineapple Bay in Bulago Island
Depending on your pickup point, either in Kampala or Entebbe International airport, you shall be transferred to the landing site in Entebbe and later, take a boat cruise to Bulago Island on Lake Victoria. The island is notable for its white sand beaches. Be welcomed in luxury and you shall reside in one of the most luxurious resort in Uganda, the pineapple bay. Relax while enjoying the cool breeze and unending water view of the Lake. Dinner and overnight at Pineapple bay
Day 2: Fishing on Lake Victoria.
Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall take motorized fishing boat to the fish catchment area around the island. Fish on Lake Victoria is caught in the islands. It is difficult to find fish at the shore line of Entebbe and other beach cities. You have to travel deep into the islands to get some reasonable catch. Spend the whole day fishing under the guidance of experienced anglers. If you lucky enough, you shall have a great catch. Later in the evening, travel back to Pineapple bay for dinner and overnight. Relax as you enjoy a beautiful sunset across Lake Victoria
Day 3: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Due to River Nile that crosses through Murchison falls national park, Murchison falls national park has become one of the leading sport fishing areas in Uganda. Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall sail from the pineapple bay to the landing site in Entebbe and later embark on the journey to Murchison falls national park in a luxurious extended land cruiser. The park is 351 km from Kampala and you shall arrive in the park at the chobe sector later in the afternoon. Enjoy panoramic views of River Nile from your accommodation while waiting for an amazing fishing experience the following day.

Day 4: Fishing along River Nile
Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall catch a motorized boat and you start fishing around the chobe sector. The sector offers rare opportunities to catch the Nile perch. The Nile Perch is one of the most unique fish species only found along the River Nile. In Uganda, the Nile Perch is one of the most common caught fish species. This is a whole day experience however you may decide to take the first fishing phrase and go back to the hotel for lunch and relaxation and later come back to continue with your fishing. Day 5: Drive to the Paraa Area for Wildlife
Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall drive to the Paraa area. The drive shall offer wildlife insights into the various animal species that reside in the park. Common residents include Elephants, leopards, lions, buffaloes, bushbucks, Rothschild giraffes, the Uganda kobs, hartebeest and others. Arrive at the lodge in the afternoon, take lunch, relax and later go for an evening game drive. Although this might sound like too much, it is possible to enjoy all those said activities within the stipulated time and you shall enjoy taking photos and several other wildlife experiences that you shall encounter. Travel back to Paraa Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 6: Whole day fishing around the Paraa Area
Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall book a motorized boat under the company of expert fishing guides to start your fishing experience along River Nile. The Paraa area is notable for Nile Perch, tiger fish, and the catfish. You are likely not to miss out of hippopotamus and the Nile crocodiles and other water birds species as they tend to linger around the River. Later, retreat back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Transfer to Araa fishing Village
After a delicious breakfast, you shall transfer to Araa fishing village in Adjuman which is located northwards from the park. It takes about 4 hours to drive from the Paraa to Araa fishing village. The drive shall offer wonderful views of savannah along with traditional settlement areas. Arrive at Araa fishing lodge for dinner and overnight. Araa fishing lodge offers undistracted views of River Nile and Lake Albert. During the evening, you may opt for simple fishing along the river banks before resting at the lodge.
Day 8: Fishing in Araa fishing village
After a tasty breakfast and some treat of royalty, you shall start your fishing experience along River Nile. Under the guidance of experienced anglers, fishermen, your fishing experience shall be assured of success. After a great day of enough catch of different species especially the Nile perch. You shall retire back to the fishing village where you may opt to fry your catch and eat it before transferring back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer back to Kampala – End of tour
Early in the morning after some wonderful breakfast, say bye to Adjumani and transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe International airport to mark the end of the tour. It is possible to add more activities to this itinerary as per your request. You may opt for gorilla trekking experience, chimpanzee trekking, cultural tour or anything that reflects your travel goals.
