This 10 day Zambia and Tanzania safari is one of the best safaris to experience Zambia and Tanzania. Tour Plan

Day 1: Lusaka to Victoria Falls.

This safari starts from Lusaka, in Zambia and ends in Arusha- Tanzania. However, like I said, this safari is fully customizable. You can alter the starting and ending points. Early in the morning, our tour guide shall pick you up from your pick up point in Lusaka in Zambia and drive you to Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls is a natural wonder and a world heritage site. You shall drive to Livingstone- the nearest city before arriving in Victoria Falls. Upon arrival in Victoria Falls, you shall participate in several water sport activities like white water rafting, swimming, and a boat cruise as well as sightseeing. After an intensive adventure, you shall retire in your lodge, relax and later take an overnight sleep.

Day 2: Transfer to South Luangwa National park.

South Luangwa national park is located on the northern bank on River Zambezi. It takes about 3 hours to arrive in the park. After breakfast, you shall drive to South Luangwa National park. Upon arrival in the park, you shall check in your lodge, take lunch and later, drive to the park for an afternoon game drive. The afternoon game drive offers the best insights about the south Luangwa national park; you shall watch several species of wildlife within the park. Some of the common species include hippopotamus, crocodiles, antelopes, zebras and so many more. Later, you shall retreat to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full day game drive- south Luangwa National park.

South Luangwa national park is strategically located at the banks of River Zambezi which helps it to contain most the wildlife because of its supporting ecosystem. There so many species of birdlife, wildlife and natural vegetation to look out for during the visit to South Luangwa national park. During this full-day game drive, you shall wake up early in the morning after the morning wakeup call and drive to the park to start your morning game drive- during this game drive, you shall witness several wildlife experiences which are only common during the morning. Later, you shall drive back to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation; you shall make the necessary preparations like packing up your lunch box and depart for the park again for a full day game drive. This wonderful game drive experience shall reveal the best wildlife instincts. Later, you shall drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Kafue National Park

Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall transfer to Kafue National park. Kafue National park is the largest and oldest national park in Zambia. The park is blessed with numerous opportunities to spot several species of wildlife. The park inhabits several species of wildlife like bush pig, monitor lizards, bush baby, Oribi, cheetah, hartebeest, leopard, and others. Upon arrival in Kafue national park which is expected to be around lunchtime, you shall check in your lodge and later go for an afternoon game drive. You shall enjoy the game drive until dusk and later retreat back to your lodge.

Day 5: Full day game drive -Kafue National Park

You shall do a full day game drive during this day. The full-day game drive shall reveal the park components. You shall be able to witness most of the park inhabitants. Early in the morning, you shall drive to the park for a morning game drive. This is the best moment to experience all the park’s inhabitants. During the morning game drive, you shall be able to watch so many wildlife experiences that are specific in the morning. For example, nocturnal always enjoy the prey in the morning after their night’s game hunting. Later, you shall retreat to the lodge for breakfast and some relaxation. Make all the necessary preparations like packing your lunch in a lunch box. Later, you shall drive to the park for another game drive until dusk. By the time you retreat, you shall be filled with joy as your mind tries to come to terms with the wildlife experiences that you witnessed during the day. Later, you shall retreat to the lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 6: Kafue National park-Lusaka- Tanzania.

Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall drive to Lusaka to take a flight to Tanzania via the Lusaka international airport. Upon arrival in Lusaka, you shall fly to Tanzania around the Arusha region. Upon arrival, you shall drive to Arusha for your accommodation. Take the rest of the day relaxing in mighty Tanzania.

Day 7: Transfer to Serengeti National park.

Serengeti National park is the oldest and largest national parks in Tanzania. The park is blessed with a rich ecosystem of wildlife and birdlife. Early in the morning after breakfast, you drive to Serengeti national park. Upon arrival in the park, you shall check in your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Full day Serengeti National park game drive

Early in the morning, you shall drive to the park for a full day game drive. Serengeti National park is one of the best destinations to experience wildlife. During this morning game drive, you shall experience one of the best wildlife experiences. There are so many wildlife species to look out for and these include lions, wildebeest, Thomson gazelle, Impala, waterbucks, common elands, klipspringer, roan antelopes, bushbuck, lesser kudus, African leopard, African bush elephant, black rhinoceros, Zebra, cheetah, spotted hyena, Jackals, striped hyena, mongoose, aardvark, bat-eared fox, vervet monkey, patas monkey, Nile crocodiles, tortoise, Nile monitor, African pythons, black mamba, puff adder and others. This full-day game is categorized into the morning, mid-afternoon, and afternoon game drive. You shall be able to participate in all sessions. Later, you shall retreat back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer to Ngorongoro crater.

After breakfast, you shall start your journey to Ngorongoro crater via the Olduvai Gorge. The Olduvai Gorge is one of the most significant paleoanthropological sites in the world-the gorge holds a historical background of the existence of the first humans. Upon arrival at the Olduvai Gorge, you shall make a stopover and witness and learn a few things about the area before continuing to Ngorongoro crater. Upon arrival at the crater, you shall descend to the crater floor for a game drive experience. You shall take your packed lunch at the hippo picnic site. After this afternoon game drive, you retreat to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha.

Ngorongoro crater is small but it has a rich ecosystem full of several species of wildlife, birdlife, and vegetation. Some of the wildlife species within this park include cape buffaloes, Black rhinoceros, waterbucks, impala, Cheetah, East African wild dog, African leopards, Grant’s Zebra and others. This is clearly the last day of this amazing safari, however. It is possible to extend this tour to include other destinations like Zanzibar. Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall descend to the crater floor for a game drive. Later, relax for a while and take your packed lunch at the hippo picnic site. Later on, you shall descend to the crater rim and drive to Arusha to mark the end of this wonderful Zambia and Tanzania safari.
