Tour Plan
Day 1: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
You are most welcome to Uganda. Enjoy your stay in East Africa. Early in the morning, possibly after breakfast, you shall meet and greet your tour guide and later drive off to Queen Elizabeth national park. Queen Elizabeth national park is about 6 hours by road from Kampala via the Mbarara highway. You shall make a simple stopover at the Equator to take some photos. Later, drive through the wonderful countryside of Uganda blanketed by savannah grassland and rolling hills. Upon arrival, you shall have lunch and later spend the day relaxing at the lodge.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise
Queen Elizabeth national park offers the perfect game viewing options through a game drive and a boat cruise. You shall stand a chance of viewing Elephants, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and several bird species. Early in the morning after a tasty breakfast, you shall drive to the park for a morning game drive. This shall offer wide opportunities of seeing big cats in action. These cats prey on small animals like the Ugandan kobs. Apart from that, you shall drive through the trail looking for wildlife. Retreat and drive back to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. Later, you shall drive to kazinga channel to catch the afternoon boat cruise. Spot several aquatic and water birds. The boat cruise enables you to spot the animals up close. In the evening, drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Nature walk
Kibale National Park possesses the largest number of chimpanzees in Uganda. Early in the morning, you shall be transferred to the park headquarter for a brief talk about the chimpanzees. You shall be told how to behave once you spot the chimpanzees, things to avoid and things to do and so on…
Your journey shall start in the wilderness with the help of the park ranger. The park rangers are always equipped with knowledge about how to easily trace the chimpanzees. And after hours between 1-5 hours, you shall be able to view the chimpanzees. Stay with them for a maximum of 1 hour and later, move back to the headquarters where you shall meet your tour guide who shall drive you back to the lodge for lunch. Afterwards, move to the Bigodi wetland sanctuary for a nature walk. The nature walk offers opportunities to spot the endemic bird species known around the area. Later, transfer back to the lodge, for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Climbing Lions and other Wildlife
Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall drive to the Ishasha sector, the most remote areas of the park to spot tree-climbing lions. There are higher possibilities of spotting the tree climbing lions once at the Ishasha sector. Be expectant. There are other wildlife species to spot in this area. The area is considered to have the largest concentration of Elephants in the park. Transfer back to your lodge with mixed thoughts as to why the lions climb trees.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
This is a free day and therefore no need to hurry. At your own convenience after breakfast, the tour guide shall pick you up at your lodge and drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. If you were not satisfied with the previous day game drive, you stand an opportunity of doing it again as you shall pass through the Ishasha sector on your way to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. Later, check-in your lodge and enjoy spectacular views of the lodge and surroundings. Take dinner and enjoy your sleep.

Gorilla trekking is the king of tourism in Uganda. The country’s tourism sector has seen tremendous growth thanks to the gorillas. They say that if you have not done gorilla trekking, you have not been to Uganda. Early in the morning, you shall depart to the park headquarters for briefing. With enough briefing and knowing what to do, you shall start your gorilla trekking experience. This is a guided tour and you shall be accompanied by the park ranger who shall give you all the necessary tips that shall lead you to the gorillas. Once you spot the gorilla group family, you shall be allowed to stay with them for a period of 1 hour. Enjoy all their different lifestyles. Later, retreat to the park headquarters to receive your gorilla certificates and move back to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 7: Transfer to Rwanda
Early in the morning, you shall take a tasty delicious breakfast and zip up your bags ready to cross to Rwanda. The tour guide shall pick you up at your lodge and transfer you to Rwanda. You shall pass via the mountainous landscape. Rwanda is hilly and for this reason, it is dumbed the country of a thousand hills. You shall drive to Volcanoes national park for gorilla trekking the following day. On arrival, you may opt for a simple Ruhengeri city tour. Later, transfer to the lodge for dinner and a sleep over.
Day 8: Gorilla Trekking at Volcanoes National Park.
Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the gorillas. The briefing starts at around 8am and later, you shall be escorted by the park ranger into the wilderness in search of the gorillas. Volcanoes national park is blessed with several primates. Gorilla and rare golden monkeys inhabit the park. Depending on the gorillas’ previous activity, you shall be in position to view the gorillas after 1- 8 hours of trekking. Be ready for this exercise. Retreat back to park headquarters and later to the lodge for dinner and slumber.

Day 9: Chimpanzee Trekking at Nyungwe National Park
Early in the morning after a wonderful and filling breakfast, transfer to Nyungwe national park; Nyungwe national park is considered as one of the oldest rainforests in Africa. Its biodiversity is comprised of several bird species, different wildlife species like chimpanzees. There are over 400 chimpanzees in Nyungwe national park. The chimpanzee briefing does not last long and later, your chimpanzee trekking shall commence. With the aid of the park ranger, chimpanzees shall be easily traced and after some few hours, you shall hear uncontrolled chanting to indicate their presence. Spend about 1 hour with the chimpanzees; retreat and drive back to the lodge for dinner and slumber. Depending on your lodge choices, several lodges offer awe-inspiring views to their visitors.

Day 10: Depart for Kigali
This is the last day of the tour. After breakfast, you shall depart for Kigali city. On arrival, you may opt for a city tour or a transfer to Kigali international airport to fly home.
