14 Days Family Safari and Zanzibar Holiday Package

On your arrival day at Tanzania, you will be picked up from the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to Arusha where you will check-in at Mount Meru Game Lodge. Dinner is included.

Breakfast at the lodge in the morning then leave by 09.00 Am and drive to the Arusha National park nearby a nice place to start off your safari family in Tanzania. As your enter the park you will cross the so-called ‘small Serengeti’ a small plain where you will get the first glimpse of the large game like zebras, warthogs, giraffes and buffaloes grazing harmoniously together. The rest of the day can then be spent either by taking a ranger-guided walk in the forests of Arusha National Park and or exploring the Ngurdoto Crater or canoeing in the fabulous Momella Lakes in the park. Picnic lunch will be served. The Lakes are colourful with flamingos and other aquatic birds and on a boat canoe safari, you can enjoy game viewing giraffes, hippos, warthogs, bushbucks and other resident animals. Later in the afternoon, we drive out for dinner and overnight at Mount Meru Game Lodge at Arusha or similar. All meals included.

Breakfast at the lodge at Arusha then depart and drive via Arusha town where you can buy some personal supplies and or change money then head through the Masai Steppe towards Lake Manyara National Park a beautiful park at the base of the Great Rift Valley. We will do game drives the whole morning then after picnic lunch at one of the Picnic sites we will head out to the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge where we check-in and relax for the rest of the afternoon. The afternoon can be spent relaxing and taking a dip in the Swimming pool to cool off from the African sun or go for biking tour around the villages if you wish to have an active afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. All meals included.

This day we will take early breakfast and head northwards to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a brief stop at the Loduare Gate for registration then drive to the Crater rim for some stunning views to the World’s Largest Unbroken Calderas floor. After a brief photo session at the Crater rim we descend down the winding roads 600 meters down to the incredible Crater floor for a fun-filled day with game drives trying to spot the Big five as well the all other animals that can be easily spotted there. Ngorongoro Crater is home to the leopards, the lions, the elephants in the forests, black rhinos, buffaloes, topis, elands, warthogs, zebras, resident wildebeests, impalas, gazelles and boasts the highest concentration of animals per square Km than any other natural habitat in the world. Picnic Lunch will be served at the Hippo poolside picnic site ( watch out for the hawks and kites), then after some afternoon game drives we will drive up the Crater rim for overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Leave your lodge at Ngorongoro after an early breakfast because today we are headed to the famous Serengeti National Park entering through the Naabi Hills Gate where we will stop briefly for registration. We will spend the rest of the day doing game drives with picnic lunch at the Visitors’ Center at Seronera. The afternoon will be spent in the endless plains of the Serengeti until late afternoon when we check-in at the lodge for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge. All meals included.

We will spend two whole days at Serengeti National Park doing a relaxed safari with morning game drives and the afternoons spent at the lodge relaxing, taking a nap or swimming at the pool. The Serengeti National Park is home to many species of birds and animals but more famous for the Wildebeests Migration and depending on the time of travel you expect to see a lot of animals as well as the Great Wildebeests Migration herds. O2 x nights will be spent at the Serengeti Serena Lodge. All meals included.

After breakfast at the lodge, we check out of the lodge and transfer to the Seronera Airstrip (amid game drives), for your domestic flight straight to the Spice Island of Zanzibar. On arrival at the Zanzibar Airport, you will be picked and transferred to Tembo House Hotel where you will spend your first night at Stonestown. Breakfast and Lunch box included. Dinner can be ordered at the Restaurant.

This day you will take breakfast at the hotel in Stone Town then check out at 10.00 hrs then transferred to the beach. On your way, you may do the Spice Plantation tour and or the Stone Town tour ( extra charges applicable). You will check-in at the Beach Resort on arrival. Overnight at Ocean Paradise Resort / superior rooms. Breakfast and dinner included.

These days will be spent at the beach relaxing. Other water sports and other activities and tours are on offer and can be arranged on request. Breakfast and dinner included.

Breakfast at the resort then spend time at the Resort (with check out time at 10.00 Am), then later transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your flight back home. A Day room can be arranged at the resort at extra cost. In case you are flying out from a different airport like Dar es Salaam we can arrange any domestic connection needed. The same package can be done using some nice mid range options if you wish to keep the costs low.
