Day 1: transfer to Akagera national park

The tour starts and ends in Kigali more especially at the Kigali international airport. The tour guide shall wait for you at the airport until you arrive. You shall meet and greet with the tour guide and drive you to Akagera national park. The park is 135 km from Kigali and it is about a 2 hours’ drive. Enjoy the amazing landscapes of the countryside of the rolling hills. Encounter the inyambo cows around Rwamagana. Arrive at Akagera national park before lunch, check in your lodge and take time to enjoy your wonderful local lunch or anything depending on your taste. Day 2: Game drive and transfer back to Kigali.

Early in the morning after breakfast, you shall move back to Akagera to witness the hidden secrets of the savannah grassland. This thrilling morning game drive shall reveal some of the wildest experience in Rwanda. Get your camera ready to take some wonderful and amazing photo shots. During the game drive, expect the best game experience as you shall witness Maasai giraffes, buffaloes, water bucks, impalas, bushbucks, Eland, Oribi, and others. Transfer back to the lodge for refreshment and lunch. After lunch, you shall transfer to Lake Ihema for a boat cruise experience. Lake Ihema inhabits the several hippopotamus, Nile crocodiles, and several species of birds. Relax as you cruise through and getting up close to some of the aquatic animals. Day 3: transfer to the Kigali and visit the Kigali genocide memorial

Early in the morning, you shall transfer to Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda. On arrival, you shall be driven to Gisozi at the Kigali genocide memorial to witness several recounts of the genocide. This is the best time and moment to pay tribute the fallen heroes of Rwanda. End the tour by a transfer to the Kigali international airport.
