8 Days Tanzania Safari and Beach at Zanzibar Island

On arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will usher you to a waiting vehicle for a private transfer to your first lodge around Arusha. You will be offered pre-safari briefing then leave you to relax. Overnight at Mount Meru Game Lodge. Dinner included.

After early breakfast, you will be picked from the lodge/hotel at around 7.30 in the morning and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will have a brief stop for registration at the Lodore main gate and another brief stop at the Viewpoint at the Crater rim where you will have some stunning views over the Crater floor. You will then head to Seneto for registration and descend along the spectacular winding road down to the Crater floor where you will spend a fun-filled day of game viewing. You will have a picnic lunch at the hippo poolside picnic site then continue with game drives for the rest of the afternoon in search for the Big Five and many other big game animals. The Crater floor is also a birders haven and it is possible to spot the flamingos at the Lake Makat; a soda lake at the middle of the crater floor. Later we drive up the crater rim for overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge. All meals are included.

On this day after an early breakfast, we depart for the Serengeti National Park some 3 hours drive away but driving within the Conservation Area so there is a lot to see on the way. There is a chance to visit a Masai Village on the way if you wish ( at extra cost), and also the Olduvai Gorge then enter the Serengeti National park through the Naabi Hill Gate where you will have a brief stop for registration. The afternoon is spent in Serengeti National Park, then, later on, we check-in at the lodge/tented camp for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Serengeti Heritage Camp. All meals included.

If you wish you can do an early morning game drive inside the Serengeti National Park, then after breakfast we will spend the whole day doing game drives in the endless plains. The Serengeti is the home for the Great Wildebeests Migration and thousands of other resident animals including the Big Five of the; lions, elephants, leopards, Buffalos and the recently re-introduced in the park. The Serengeti National park is also home for the cats family including the serval cats, leopards and cheetahs and with a little luck, you might see them on the action as they go on their day’s hunt. Birdlife is also in abundance in the Serengeti. Later on, we check in back at the Serengeti Heritage Camp for diner and overnight. – At extra charge, you can do the Hot air Balloon Safari in the early morning.

Breakfast at the lodge/camp then check out and drive to the Seronera Airstrip or the nearest Airstrip depending on where you are staying), where you will take your flight straight to Zanzibar Island. On arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your beach resort. Overnight at La Gemma Del Est. All meals included on this day.

You will spend two more days at Zanzibar relaxing. You can also choose from the water sports and activities available, and can also go for tours in Zanzibar. Tours include Spice Plantation tours, Dolphin tours, a tour of the Prison Island, Jozani forest tour and a tour of Stonetown. (tours at extra costs).

After early breakfast, you will spend time at the beach resort until time for departure transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your flight back home. Check out time is usually at 10.00 am but a day room can be booked at extra cost. This tour can be done using mid-range accommodation or even more upmarket options depending on your budget. The tour can be done as a honeymoon tour.
